Safety texts.

Predictive Outdoors, LLC sends text messages for one reason: hunt safety. If you set a check-out time and don't check out, we text you a reminder, and then the emergency contacts who agreed to hear from us. No marketing, ever.

Status: text alerts switch on once carriers finish verifying our toll-free number. Until then no texts are sent, and an overdue check-in shows up for your camp inside the app only.

What we text, and to whom

Check-out reminders, to the hunter who opted in: at the check-out time they set when they checked in, and once more shortly after if they still haven't checked out.
Overdue safety alerts, to the hunter's emergency contacts who confirmed by replying YES, and to camp owners or admins who opted in to texts: the hunter's name or nickname, how late they are, the stand name, and a map link to their last check-in spot.
Emergency-contact confirmation: one text to a person a hunter adds as an emergency contact, asking them to reply YES. Nobody gets alerts until they do.
All-clear notices, to the same people, when an overdue hunter checks out safe.
Replies to HELP, STOP and START, and a one-time confirmation when you opt in.

We don't send marketing or promotional texts, and we don't send sign-in codes by text (sign-in uses your email and password). The texts are a backup, not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 911.

How you opt in

Hunters (in the app). On the Me tab, and during setup, under your mobile number there's a Text me safety alerts checkbox. It's unchecked until you tick it. Ticking it and saving is your consent, and we then send a one-time confirmation text. You can untick it at any time.

Text me safety alerts. I agree to receive automated safety text messages from Predictive Outdoors, LLC at this number: check-out reminders when my hunt runs past my check-out time and, if I run a camp, overdue alerts about its hunters. Emergency contacts (they confirm by text). When a hunter adds an emergency contact, they tick a box confirming that person agreed to get safety texts from us. We then send that person one confirmation text. They aren't sent any alerts unless they reply YES, and they can reply STOP at any time. The hunter sees each contact as Confirmed, Waiting for YES or Opted out.

Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any text. We confirm once and send nothing more. Reply START to opt back in.
Hunters can also untick Text me safety alerts on the Me tab, or remove an emergency contact.

Your number stays private

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data (your consent and when you gave it) with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent won't be shared with any third parties. Twilio, our SMS provider, processes numbers only to deliver our texts on our behalf. Read the Privacy Policy and the SMS terms.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on coverage, the recipient's carrier and their phone. Supported on major U.S. carriers.
